![]() ![]() However, the graphical effects for weather/environment should not be what obscures visibility. Using the rain effect but modified so that the drops are falling sideways could work. Some kind of minor graphical affect so you know when the cyclone visibility penalty is on or off would be nice. ![]() Why can't we have something like that for cyclones instead of a perfectly sunny day with 8 km visibility? Nothing outside of a typhoon is more terrifying imo(and maybe some of the capes around the globe.)īut, its a game and the weather while i wish we had more, and i mean aalooooot more shouldnt be bad enough like that. Ive sailed through foggier days than that, and ive been called to the bridge to take the helm when the fog was so thick we couldnt see past the bullnose on our ship.Įvery sailor in a boat capable should go through a hurricane too. Yup yup! Going through rough seas is always fun. I'm not arguing that the spotted ships should be 1000% clearly visible, but it would be nice if you could see them well enough to aim at them. That said, I've seen the above effects and they seem a bit over the top because you literally cannot see the ships that have been supposedly spotted. I am personally one of those who want somewhat more realistic weather effects in the game. (The other thing was that British heavy shells weren't all they could be, but I think sheer weight of metal thrown might have compensated for a lot of that - and the German battlecruisers were pretty much blasted into uselessness, even though only one of them failed to make it home.) Which is disgustingly bad luck, because he managed to cross Scheer's T twice. What you see in front of you is the sort of thing that cost Jellicoe the chance of an annihilatory victory at Jutland - he had no clear sight of his targets. I hope you're not one of those people who has complained in the past about the lack of realism. ![]()
